President and Founder of This Old Horse, Inc.
Nancy Turner is the founder and President of This Old Horse, Inc. in Hastings, MN. Founded in 2012, This Old Horse provides rescue, retirement and recovery support for older and special needs horses through their farms and foster network and is accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries. In addition to her volunteer work with This Old Horse, she operates group homes and family support services for children and adults with significant intellectual and physical disabilities, cares for 17 of her own horses on her private horse farm and is the head coach for a Special Olympics Equestrian Team. She is a member of the Minnesota Horse Welfare Coalition and on the Advisory Board of Fleet of Angels.
Kelly Ford
Executive Board Secretary and Spokesperson, RVR Horse Rescue
Kelly Ford has been an active volunteer with RVR Horse Rescue since 2013. She participates in various areas of the rescue's activities, from mucking, feeding, and wound care to grant writing, LAR training, and eventually joining the Board of Directors. Kelly represents RVR in the community and media as the spokesperson for the rescue. Advocacy is Kelly's passion, and in addition to working on behalf of animals, Kelly has actively championed the welfare of children in foster care and the needs of the learning disabled.
