The ASPCA is dedicated to providing a voice for the voiceless. We are a progressive people-forward organization and understand that to care for animals, we need to care for the people. This includes a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Particularly in veterinary medicine, we understand that learning takes place best in a safe space, and we are committed to this.
This program is designed for a veterinary professional who has either completed a rotating internship or has been in practice and is looking to help owners access veterinary care. The veterinary fellow could be a new professional who wants to experience different career paths, a person interested in working with a municipal shelter that provides low-cost veterinary care, or someone who wants to work in general practice and offer a spectrum of care to owners.
