• The veterinary fellow has primary and secondary case responsibility depending on the rotation. The current rotational offering is emergency/urgent care appointments, surgery, dentistry, and treatment room. In the beginning of the fellowship, other than on appointments, the fellow has secondary case responsibility. Once the fellow is more comfortable and has been reviewed, they will take on primary case responsibility in the other rotations. 
• The fellow will SOAP cases in the morning on their respective services then join the staff doctor in seeing cases for the day.
• There is on-call responsibility by phone for any patients admitted but no overnight shifts.

This program is designed for a veterinary professional who has either completed a rotating internship or has been in practice and is looking to help owners access veterinary care. The veterinary fellow could be a new professional who wants to experience different career paths, a person interested in working with a municipal shelter that provides low-cost veterinary care, or someone who wants to work in general practice and offer a spectrum of care to owners.
