The Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL) is seeking a Full-Time Director of Animal Services to oversee and lead our Animal Services division. This position requires a strong leader who can guide the Animal Services team and Rescue and Response team while collaborating with our extensive community outreach program and volunteers. The Director will ensure that the ARL provides the highest level of professionalism and service to the community’s animals and residents. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on expertise and organizational needs. Note that the ARL works with all animal species as needed. This position is part of the staff leadership team, consisting of eight Directors, and will work closely with and support the CEO, ARL Operations, and other Directors in a collaborative team environment. This position is located in Des Moines; and requires the person to be in the office the core days/hours of Monday-Friday due to the nature of the work (although some flexibility would be afforded of course). Some evening and weekend work may be necessary at times.
