ASPCA National Field Response
The National Field Response (NFR) team takes the ASPCA's commitment to animals to the very doorsteps where help is needed. The team travels from coast to coast responding to requests from law enforcement and animal welfare professionals.
NFR's primary goal is to remove animals from crisis situations created by natural disasters like hurricanes, tornados, floods and wildfires; or by animal abuse like animal fighting, puppy mills, hoarding or neglect. From there, the ASPCA focuses on giving animals the care they deserve and stopping cruelty at the source.
“I don't recall ever seeing a more efficient and qualified crime scene team anywhere. It definitely made a difference in the outcome of the case."
How NFR Can Help You
If your organization needs support to do the hard work of rescuing animals in need or investigating and then prosecuting the people who commit animal cruelty, NFR may be able to help with a number of resources.
How Agencies Can Participate
When your organization is a NFR Response Partner, your staff and volunteers can gain invaluable experience in the field. Response Partners also can act as safety nets for animal victims rescued by the ASPCA by helping them find loving homes.
How Individuals Can Participate
Deploying with the NFR team is tough but incredibly fulfilling work, and volunteers provide immediate, lifesaving help to animals in distress.
