Description
We are seeking an experienced, mission-aligned Associate Veterinarian to join our growing medical team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about community veterinary medicine, highly adaptable in a dynamic nonprofit environment, and committed to both clinical excellence and client education.
This role offers a balance of primary care, soft-tissue surgery, dentistry, and collaboration with shelter medicine through our affiliated rescue.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform wellness exams, sick appointments, and diagnostics with an emphasis on education and transparency
- Conduct routine soft-tissue surgeries and dental procedures; support weekly HQHVSN protocols
- Collaborate closely with medical support staff to ensure a consistent, compassionate experience for clients and patients
- Maintain accurate medical records, prescriptions, and documentation in compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Contribute to the overall development of clinic protocols, team culture, and mission-aligned decision-making
- Engage with rescue, shelter, and community partners to support animal welfare beyond the exam room
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD)
- Active Pennsylvania veterinary license in good standing (or ability to obtain)
- DEA license (or eligibility)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; a team-first mindset
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Experience in shelter medicine or high-volume spay/neuter is a plus, but not required
- New graduates are encouraged to apply; mentorship is available
