Certified Veterinary Technician
We are adding a CVT to our team! The Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon is a nationally recognized nonprofit spay/neuter program and we operate a state-of-the-art clinic in Portland, Oregon. FCCO is dedicated to high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter services for feral and outdoor stray cats and we care for 7,000 cats each year. As a team member you will utilize your highest and best skills as you make a direct difference in the lives of cats and the people who look after them. All shifts are day shifts. Full-time starts at 30 hours/week and comes with great benefits including employer-paid healthcare and vision insurance, dental insurance, PTO, paid holidays, retirement, CE and uniform allowance, and a competitive salary. Veterinary Technician, Urgent Care, Dumb Friends League Hospital
The Dumb Friends League is currently hiring Veterinary Technicians to join the League’s Veterinary Hospital team! The League’s Veterinary Hospital at CSU Spur team members provide access to high quality veterinary urgent care using an incremental care approach for under-served populations in our community. This position plays a critical role in helping to prevent and alleviate suffering of animals in our community, maximize our impact, enhance the dignity of our clients, and work collaboratively with the veterinary community. The (new) Dumb Friends League Veterinary Hospital at the CSU Spur campus, is just north of downtown Denver, and is part of the redevelopment of the National Western Center. On the Spur campus, the veterinary hospital will incorporate learning opportunities for the public, through our surgery and dental suites, along with an exam room, that is on view to the public.

This individual will utilize their technical abilities to create and assist in outcomes for animals at the shelter and beyond. Veterinary technicians collaborate with all other departments within the League to provide animal handling and treatment, along with training and leadership. The candidate selected for this role will be a certified veterinary technician or have relevant proven experience in surgery and emergency medicine. The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service experience, proven ability to be a team player and ability to independently problem solve. Purpose of Position: Provide medical care and treatment for shelter animals. Provide medical care and treatment of both shelter and owned animals during all parts of surgery.

As a technician working as part of the Shelter Veterinary Services team you’ll manage the health of homeless pets during their stay at our shelters, lead surgery from routine to complex cases in partnership with our staff veterinarians and support adopters and foster families as they welcome cats, dogs, and other critters into their homes.
