As a Registered Veterinary Technician on our Clinic Services team, you will be a leader on our staff, motivating and energizing the veterinary medical team to meet department goals. You will act as a mentor and coach, sharing your expertise with your fellow team members while completing the daily duties of preparation and recovery of animals admitted for surgery.
Animal Care Technician (Full Time)
The Animal Care Technician plays an essential role within the Animal Welfare League of Arlington and works one-on-one with animals. The Animal Care Technician performs routine animal care, facility cleaning, customer service, updating and maintaining animal records, administering injections/medications, sterilizing equipment and performing euthanasia when necessary. Shelter Assistant - FT & PT

Purpose of Position: This position provides support to shelter operations by completing assigned cleaning and organizing duties in non-animal areas; prepping food and enrichment supplies; stocking and maintaining organization of equipment and supplies throughout the shelter. This position will also assist other operations departments as needed and as assigned by the manager/team leader.
Veterinary Externship Coordinator & Trainer
This position supports Community Veterinary Services teams by conducting specific skills-based training programs for support staff that ensure the highest quality care for the animals and clients served at the Dumb Friends League, with a focus on developing the technical skills of veterinary assistants and supporting veterinary technician students and interns. This position also supports veterinary services teams across the League by coordinating the DVM externship program for CSU students.

Veterinary Assistant - Animal Hospital
Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing medical care and treatment for animals in all aspects of the veterinary hospital, which includes urgent care services, high volume spay/neuter and vaccine services. This position works directly with underserved community members and their pets to provide high quality, affordable veterinary care.

Purpose of Position: Assist the shelter veterinary services team in providing medical care and treatment for animals, and exceptional customer service to patrons.
Veterinary Assistant - Veterinary Hospital
The League’s Veterinary Hospital at CSU Spur team members provide access to high quality veterinary urgent care using an incremental care approach for under-served populations in our community. This position plays a critical role in working with our veterinary team to help prevent and alleviate suffering of animals in our community, maximize our impact, enhance the dignity of our clients, and work collaboratively with the veterinary community. The Dumb Friends League Veterinary Hospital at the CSU Spur campus, is just north of downtown Denver, and is part of the redevelopment of the National Western Center. On the Spur campus, the veterinary hospital will incorporate learning opportunities for the public, through our surgery and dental suites, along with an exam room, that is on view to the public.
Veterinary Assistant II
Description Purpose of Position: Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing medical care and treatment for animals in an urgent care setting. This position requires the Veterinary Assistant II to complete more complex tasks, sometimes independently, that support the medical team. This position works directly with underserved community members and their pets to provide high quality, accessible veterinary care.
