Our shelter has great relationship with local veterinary clinics in case of emergencies or to provide diagnostics, such as radiographs. We also have good relationships with veterinary specialists in the area if an animal should need anything beyond what we can provide. My Kids Have Paws Veterinary Clinic is a mission-based veterinary clinic located in Dalton, GA, 30 minutes from Chattanooga and 80 miles from Atlanta. Our mission is to help reduce the euthanasia rate in our region (northwest GA) by providing compassionate, affordable care. We focus on spays/neuters, affordable medical care (including most basic surgeries), and working with our large network of rescues/animal shelters in our region. We have in-house blood work, x rays, ultrasound, and other diagnostics. Our services include dentals, soft tissue surgery, general exams, emergencies, and basic exotic exams/surgery. We also see small farm animals in the clinic. Before COVID, we traveled to counties within an hour of the clinic to help provide spay/neuter services to those under-served areas. We hope to return to traveling soon.
