Veterinary Intake Coordinator
As a leader in the medical department, the Veterinary Intake Coordinator supports nurses assigned to medical intake and triage. They will develop efficient and effective processes to provide comprehensive medical exams and core vaccines at intake, and to provide emergency care to sick or injured stray animals. Through training and coaching, the Intake Coordinator will develop the skill set and confidence of the veterinary technician and nursing staff and provide quality assurance for medical processes.
Shelter Operations Manager
The successful candidate for the Shelter Operations Manager position is a compassionate individual who will oversee day-to-day shelter operations, independently manage staff and volunteers, ensure that shelter animals receive proper and humane care, review veterinary invoices, maintain facilities and equipment, interact with employees, volunteers and the public.
Animal Behavior Technician

If you work well with people too, join our team and help us provide that voice. Purpose of Position: Conducts behavior modification sessions for shelter canines and felines. Provides quality adoption counseling to clients as well as conducts staff and volunteer training. Supports staff and volunteers in efforts to understand complex animal behaviors in order to provide appropriate counseling to clients. Maintains organized and concise documentation pertaining to the job and provides administrative support for the department.
Medical Director League Hospital at CSU/SPUR
Purpose of Position: The Medical Director of the Dumb Friends League Veterinary Hospital at Colorado State University (CSU) Spur serves as a clinical veterinarian and provides oversight and direction of the Hospital’s team of veterinarians, veterinary interns, and externs. The League’s Veterinary Hospital at CSU Spur is a teaching hospital, providing services within a defined scope of care using an incremental approach, and seeks to increase access to veterinary care for underserved communities. Services include urgent care services for pets who are sick or injured, high quality high volume spay/neuter services, and community vaccine clinics. The Medical Director is responsible for working in partnership with the Practice Manager to lead the hospital, providing mentorship to the doctor team, cultivating a culture of learning and teaching, and establishing strong external relationships with key partners including Colorado State University and community veterinarians.
Title: Veterinary Technician – Surgery Center Position Summary: Under the direction of the Shelter Veterinarian, join us as we grow our high volume spay/neuter surgery center to help our community with affordable alteration and community cat program. Assists in the provision of medical and surgical care of the animals in the shelter and for the public. Administers medications and vaccines, assists with surgery, performs basic laboratory tests, and euthanasia. Works well independently but as part of a team to ensure timely, quality medical care for all animals in the shelter. Supervisor: Medical Manager
Medical Department Manager
Title: Medical Department Manager Position Summary: The Medical Department Manager oversees the medical teams in the Medical Center and Shelter Medical Department and works collaboratively with department managers and veterinarians to meet the medical needs of the animals in care of the ARL. The position is responsible for ensuring the medical team performs its duties in a manner that maximizes the likelihood of positive outcomes for animals in our care and minimizes their length of stay.
