Veterinary Intake Coordinator
As a leader in the medical department, the Veterinary Intake Coordinator supports nurses assigned to medical intake and triage. They will develop efficient and effective processes to provide comprehensive medical exams and core vaccines at intake, and to provide emergency care to sick or injured stray animals. Through training and coaching, the Intake Coordinator will develop the skill set and confidence of the veterinary technician and nursing staff and provide quality assurance for medical processes.
Title: Veterinary Technician – Surgery Center Position Summary: Under the direction of the Shelter Veterinarian, join us as we grow our high volume spay/neuter surgery center to help our community with affordable alteration and community cat program. Assists in the provision of medical and surgical care of the animals in the shelter and for the public. Administers medications and vaccines, assists with surgery, performs basic laboratory tests, and euthanasia. Works well independently but as part of a team to ensure timely, quality medical care for all animals in the shelter. Supervisor: Medical Manager
Medical Department Manager
Title: Medical Department Manager Position Summary: The Medical Department Manager oversees the medical teams in the Medical Center and Shelter Medical Department and works collaboratively with department managers and veterinarians to meet the medical needs of the animals in care of the ARL. The position is responsible for ensuring the medical team performs its duties in a manner that maximizes the likelihood of positive outcomes for animals in our care and minimizes their length of stay. Part-time Animal Behavior and Enrichment Coordinator
Performs specialized work assisting the Enrichment section of the Animal Care and Control Division. Manages dog playgroups; conducts training; handles animals; assesses animal behavior after intake; assists in developing animal training and enrichment programs to increase animal adoptions and live release rate, and reduce euthanasia of animals. Work is performed under the Shelter Operations Manager.
Animal Care Specialist
Cares for and feeds impounded animals. Maintains animal housing according to sanitary standards; aids in the euthanasia of impounded animals; maintains animal inventory. Assists the public with animal adoptions and with the redemption of their lost animals.
Community Clinic LVT
Our MASH Clinic provides low-cost spay and neuter services, vaccines, and wellness exams for communities that need it the most as well as care for our foster program pets. The clinic is moving into a brand new stationary location in Belfair, WA. With our new building location, we will be primarily stationary but will still offer occasional services in rural areas and local reservations via pop up clinics.
