The Animal Services Representative is responsible for the front-desk customer service experience at the Animal Welfare League of Arlington. This is a full-time position with weekend, holiday and evening shifts. This position provides resources and information regarding owner surrenders, return to owners, wildlife issues, and general questions from the public. This position will also have the opportunity to cross train and work in Shelter Operations (Adoptions, Behavior, Animal Care) working hands on with the animals. Animal Care Technician (Full Time)
The Animal Care Technician plays an essential role within the Animal Welfare League of Arlington and works one-on-one with animals. The Animal Care Technician performs routine animal care, facility cleaning, customer service, updating and maintaining animal records, administering injections/medications, sterilizing equipment and performing euthanasia when necessary. Adoptions & Matchmaking Counselor
The Adoptions & Matchmaking Counselor assists with all aspects of the adoption program for the League focusing on counseling the public on pet ownership to inspire a more humane community. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast paced, busy environment and finds working with people as enjoyable as with animals.
The Volunteer Coordinator leads the volunteer program – including recruitment, onboarding, and training – and serves as the primary point of contact for volunteers and the staff they support. This position plays a crucial role in promoting and representing the League in the community and ensuring that community members who volunteer with the League feel valued and successful in their roles.
