Director of Community Initiatives
The Humane Society of Charlotte seeks an experienced Director of Community Initiatives who will be goal-driven, an expert at leading a high performing team of veterinarians, medical support staff, community outreach coordinators & volunteers, and who will bring positive energy and humor to the workplace. The Director of Community Initiatives is a member of the leadership team, working closely with the COO, to contribute to HSC as it provides accessible and high-quality, low to no-cost pet care to the under-served communities in Charlotte. This role will cohesively lead our teams in Outreach, Pet Retention, End of Life, and Clinic services. The Director of Community Initiatives will be working in-line with HSC annual budget and in cooperation with other agency programs and departments. The Director organizes, plans, manages, and oversees all aspects of our Community Initiatives operation ensuring our programs meet the principles and objectives of HSC.
Youth Programs Coordinator (Full Time)
The Youth Programs Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing youth programs to foster a safe space and teach humane education topics to the public. This role focuses on and includes: planning, scheduling, and leading youth education programs for the League both at the shelter and in the community. This role will also be responsible for collecting and analyzing data to determine the impact and growth of the programs. This position works closely with the Community Resources Team, youth program interns, and League volunteers to implement these educational programs. The Animal Services Representative is responsible for the front-desk customer service experience at the Animal Welfare League of Arlington. This is a full-time position with weekend, holiday and evening shifts. This position provides resources and information regarding owner surrenders, return to owners, wildlife issues, and general questions from the public. This position will also have the opportunity to cross train and work in Shelter Operations (Adoptions, Behavior, Animal Care) working hands on with the animals. This position qualifies for a sign on bonus: eligible hires can earn half of the bonus at hire and the final half after 6 months of employment.
