Part-time Animal Behavior and Enrichment Coordinator
Performs specialized work assisting the Enrichment section of the Animal Care and Control Division. Manages dog playgroups; conducts training; handles animals; assesses animal behavior after intake; assists in developing animal training and enrichment programs to increase animal adoptions and live release rate, and reduce euthanasia of animals. Work is performed under the Shelter Operations Manager.

Cares for and feeds impounded animals. Maintains animal housing according to sanitary standards; aids in the euthanasia of impounded animals; maintains animal inventory. Assists the public with animal adoptions and with the redemption of their lost animals.

This veterinarian position serves as the expert in veterinarian responsibilities for planning, coordinating, and directing veterinary science activities in Animal Care & Control.
