Job Summary The Assistant Shelter Manager is a supervisor position that maintains a regular presence in the shelter interacting with Animal Care staff daily. This position is responsible for the direct supervision of the AC Supervisors and AC staff and the workflow of all animal care areas. This position is responsible for controlling and organizing the productivity, accuracy and maintenance of a positive and professional organizational culture and overall output of the department. The Assistant Shelter Manager acts as the department leader and reports to and is responsible for providing feedback to the Shelter Manager. The Assistant Shelter Manager schedules all animal care staff and ensures all necessary equipment and supplies are on hand at all times.
