PAAC, South Texas’ largest high-volume spay/neuter and wellness clinic, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Wellness Veterinarian to join our mission-driven team. This role focuses on providing accessible preventive care to underserved communities, helping pets stay healthy and out of shelters.
Position Overview:
As a Wellness Veterinarian, you will provide routine care including vaccines, heartworm testing and prevention, flea/tick control, and treatment of minor illnesses (skin infections, ear infections, allergies, etc.). You’ll work closely with a supportive team of trained veterinary technicians, allowing you to focus on client education, efficient case management, and high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct wellness exams for vaccine appointments and minor illness visits
- Educate pet owners on preventive care, treatment plans, and follow-ups
- Work collaboratively with technicians and clinic leadership to ensure flow and efficiency
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
- Uphold PAAC’s mission of compassionate, community-centered care

Preferred Qualifications:
- DVM or equivalent degree
- Valid Texas veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
- Commitment to compassionate, client-focused care
