The Community & Shelter Veterinarian is responsible for the examination and medical treatment of animals under the care and custody of San Diego Humane Society and the Community Veterinary Program. Starting range is between $115,000 – $143,000 per year. Sign-on bonus and negotiable relocation bonus available.
San Diego Humane Society is hiring a Veterinarian for our Community Veterinary Program! The Community Program Veterinarian has oversight of medicine and surgery operations and champions the cause of vital CVP programs. This is a permanent position that has been named in recognition of a generous donation from Dr. Francine Deutsch and Dr. Carole Leland. Starting range is between $120,750 – $143,000 per year. Complies with all controlled substance laws and requirements. Ability to adapt to varying environments and patients, including shelter, foster, and publicly owned animals. The Pet Advocate is a privately owned spay, neuter and wellness center that provides services for healthy pets. We provide affordable spay, neuter, dental and wellness services for local animal shelters, rescue organizations and the general public.
Veterinarian, Field Services - Harmony Equine Center
Purpose of Position: Provide veterinary care for animal victims of cruelty and neglect, as needed. This is a unique position that supports field services and cruelty investigations, and otherwise provides veterinary care for equine and companion animals sheltered by the League. Working in partnership with multiple programs, you will fight animal cruelty, prevent, and alleviate suffering, help homeless pets, and collaborate with our veterinary community.
We are seeking a vet to perform spay/neuter surgeries (majority feline) and provide occasional exams and consults for our shelter animals.
Relief Veterinarian - Veterinary Hospital
The League’s Veterinary Hospital team members will work at the new North Denver location. Our team provides access to high quality veterinary urgent care using an incremental care approach for under-served populations in our community. This position plays a critical role in helping to prevent and alleviate suffering of animals in our community, maximize our impact, enhance the dignity of our clients, and work collaboratively with the veterinary community. The Dumb Friends League is expanding access to urgent care services for pets of families who otherwise wouldn’t have access to care.
