The Cape Coral Animal Shelter Veterinary Clinic is seeking a compassionate, team orientated veterinarian to join our clinic and shelter veterinary staff. Experience is a plus, however, new graduates are encouraged to apply. The Surgery Veterinarian is a trained and licensed veterinarian responsible for performing mainly spay/neuter surgeries in a high-quality, high volume spay/neuter clinic and shelter setting. The Surgery Veterinarian may also be responsible for other surgeries that arise in a shelter setting.
The Executive Director is responsible for managing and developing the organization, the oversight, program development, an accountability for best practices over all operational areas of a full service animal shelter, including intake, behavior, animal care, foster care, adoptions and partnerships with other animal welfare organizations to provide the necessary infrastructure to achieve HSRC'S mission. The Executive Director provides high level coordination across all program service areas to provide a quality of care and service that matches the HSRC mission.
This is a part-time shelter veterinarian position at Animal Care & Control. The primary purposes of this position are to examine and triage animals entering the facility, develop and oversee appropriate treatment plans for animals requiring emergency or ongoing medical care, develop and oversee appropriate behavior plans for animals, monitor the health and care of animals housed at the shelter, and act the capacity of expert witness as needed. This position requires medical/behavioral knowledge of animals including domestic, agricultural and exotic. The is a part-time position with the need for on-call availability when special circumstances arise.
