Evaluates and assigns animals for treatment or medically required euthanasia to prevent suffering. Exercises technical supervision over assigned staff. This position is an "unclassified" position and has no disciplinary appeal rights to the Municipal Civil Service Commission. This position is likewise subject to at-will employment status and can be terminated at any time for any reason.

Part-time Animal Behavior and Enrichment Coordinator
Performs specialized work assisting the Enrichment section of the Animal Care and Control Division. Manages dog playgroups; conducts training; handles animals; assesses animal behavior after intake; assists in developing animal training and enrichment programs to increase animal adoptions and live release rate, and reduce euthanasia of animals. Work is performed under the Shelter Operations Manager.
