The Cape Coral Animal Shelter Veterinary Clinic is seeking a compassionate, team orientated veterinarian to join our clinic and shelter veterinary staff. The Surgery Veterinarian is a trained and licensed veterinarian responsible for performing mainly spay/neuter surgeries in a high-quality, high volume spay/neuter clinic and shelter setting. The Surgery Veterinarian may also be responsible for other surgeries that arise in a shelter setting.

JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Shelter Manager, the Veterinary Assistant provides administrative and medical assistance to the Roice-Hurst Humane Society (“RHHS”) vet care team. This role is the first point of contact for any member of the public receiving veterinary care on their pet. Additionally, this position supports the vet care team by providing routine medical and animal care for shelter pets.
Veterinary Director, DVM
The Veterinary Director, DVM plays an essential role within the Animal Welfare League of Arlington and performs all veterinary services for our animals. The Veterinary Director, DVM maximizes the use of clinic resources to ensure animal resident health and performs high volume spay and neuter surgeries. The Veterinary Director, DVM provides medical care as well as humane care and treatment to all animals in accordance with the policies and procedures established by the Animal Welfare League of Arlington. The Veterinary Director works together with the behavior and foster team and provides support to staff and foster families on best practice medical interventions. This position may act in the capacity of an expert witness in court cases. This position is based in Arlington, Virginia.
