In this dynamic position, you will engage with donors, adopters, and the community to advance our fundraising efforts, assist with executing donor engagement strategies, and ensure the smooth operation of development activities. As part of our development team, you’ll manage stewardship programs, organize donor communications, support events, and help maintain accurate donor records in our CRM. Your administrative expertise will also be key in ensuring productive internal communication, meeting coordination, and tracking department budgets. The Development Associate will provide support and key activations to ensure efficient operations and assist in reaching revenue and community stewardship goals.

Based in HSWC’s Veterinary Center, this position will provide high-quality, high-volume medical and surgical care for shelter animals and community cats as well as preventative wellness services and low cost spay/neuter services to publicly owned animals. This position requires rotating on call for nights and weekends.

Based within the shelter’s Receiving Clinic, this position will collaborate with staff to evaluate and triage incoming animals, provide high quality medical care to the shelter and foster animal populations via daily rounds, oversee general herd health, and work with leadership to ensure HSWC is adhering to the best practices in humane population management.
