Director of Shelter Operations
The Director of Shelter Operations at EASEL Animal Rescue League is primarily responsible for the management of daily shelter operations, including supervision and training of shelter personnel and volunteers, team building, coordination and supervision of animal care, adoptions, record-keeping, and ensuring high-quality customer service is provided to the public by all staff and volunteers. The position reports to the President to ensure the safe and humane treatment of all shelter animals while upholding the highest standards of care at EASEL.. The position collaborates with leadership to set goals, monitor work, and evaluate results to ensure the objectives and operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs and mission of EASEL, upholding our core values

Job Summary Hiring Incentive:$30k hiring incentive ($15k upon starting and $7.5k on completion of each year of first 2 consecutive years of employment). Performs examinations on animals brought into the animal care facility; ensures incoming animals receive appropriate vaccinations and preventative medicine; performs spay and neuter surgeries; and performs medically necessary surgeries. Evaluates and assigns animals for treatment or medically required euthanasia to prevent suffering. Exercises technical supervision over assigned staff. This position is an "unclassified" position and has no disciplinary appeal rights to the Municipal Civil Service Commission. This position is likewise subject to at-will employment status and can be terminated at any time for any reason.
