Zoetis Donates Vaccines to Help a Horse Home Contestants

An exciting collaboration with a producer of medicine and vaccines will greatly ease medical costs for agencies participating in the 2019 American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA)® Help a Horse Home Adoption Challenge℠ (the “Challenge”).
Zoetis will donate one core vaccine for every equine adopted during the Challenge, which runs from April 26 through June 30, 2019 up to 1500 vaccines.
This is an exciting collaboration and shows one way the equine industry is supporting adoption and horses at risk.
So far, 130 groups have signed up to participate in this year’s Challenge. They’ll be placed in four divisions, with division winners based on the largest increases in adoption numbers year over year during the Challenge period. Participants will be in the running for some of $150,000 in prizes along with the free vaccines.
Last year, Help a Horse Challenge contestants adopted out more than 1,000 equines, and the ASPCA hopes participating groups will find even more homes in 2019.
“We are so fortunate to have all these amazing partnerships made available to us through the Help a Horse Day Challenge,” said Kathy Castro, founder and president of The Santana Center, a participant in this year’s Challenge. “Especially for us smaller rescues, this type of help is invaluable. Free vaccines from Zoetis for our horses is a huge cost savings and ensures our horses are protected as they go into their new homes.”
Groups may register until April 4 at 5 p.m. EST to join this year’s Challenge.
