At the Martinsville-Henry County SPCA, every day is about second chances. We are seeking a compassionate Veterinarian to care for shelter animals and lead our spay/neuter clinic, making a direct impact through surgery, wellness care, and humane end-of-life decisions.
You will work alongside a collaborative team with access to modern equipment, including digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, and in-house lab tools. This role is ideal for someone who values accessible veterinary care and wants to make a meaningful difference in the community.
Key responsibilities include performing spay/neuter and other surgical procedures, overseeing medical care and treatment plans, developing disease prevention protocols, maintaining medical records, communicating with adopters and fosters, supporting outreach clinics, and performing euthanasia when necessary. We do not euthanize for space.
This position offers a $120,000 starting salary, sign-on bonus, relocation stipend, a primarily Monday through Thursday schedule with some Saturdays, 15 days of PTO plus six holidays, and an allowance for health insurance, licensing fees, and professional expenses.
