Shelter Medicine Practitioner Pathway Community for ABVP Board Certification
Are you a shelter medicine practitioner interested in attaining Shelter Medicine Practice board certification through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners? We are excited to extend an opportunity to join the Practitioner Pathway Community (PPC)! This is a facilitated cohort of practitioners offering networking and peer support, along with access to workshops and ad hoc support from board certified shelter medicine veterinarians.
Membership in the PPC includes:
- Monthly virtual office hours to discuss credentialing requirements
- Focused workshops on portfolio items
- Tips and tricks for accomplishing writing tasks, selecting cases, or connecting with opportunities
- Connections to experiences that can be difficult for some practitioners to attain (e.g., disaster response, forensic necropsy, etc.)
- A network of supportive peers working in a collaborative environment towards common goals
If you are a veterinarian interested in participating in the PPC, please complete this brief form. Also, note that you can be at any point in the credentialing process — we would love to hear from you regardless of whether you are thinking about credentialing next year or 5 years from now!
Over a dozen veterinarians are actively working towards ABVP Shelter Medicine Practice Board Certification with the support of the PPC and the ASPCA Shelter Medicine Services veterinarians
