Decorative Kitten Nail Caps as an Alternative to Declawing
Forget the halls…during holiday season, deck the paws!

Did What
Check out Pumpkin in his red and green protective nail caps, which are not only fashion-forward, but are a great way to open up a dialogue with potential adopters about normal feline behavior and alternatives to declawing.
“The caps are great for young, active kittens like Pumpkin,” says HSPPR’s Marsha Rana Wayman. “Having claws (and using them) is natural for curious, growing kittens. The caps enable them to do what they do without the negatives, such as damaging furniture or scratching excitable children.”
Now You Try It
Bring a couple sets of nail caps along to your next offsite adoption event—they’re a fun way to market your cats, and they also make an effective conversation starter.
