ASPCA Comprehensive Animal Cruelty Response Training
The ASPCA offers both in-person and online training for law enforcement, prosecutors, veterinarians, animal rescue and sheltering organizations that cover a range of animal cruelty topics. These trainings empower professionals with the knowledge and tools they need to effectively respond to, mitigate and prevent cruelty. Continuing Education (CE) credits are available for select trainings.
ASPCA Comprehensive Animal Cruelty Response, Education and Support (CARES) In-Person Training
Through a comprehensive case study, attendees will develop skills in investigation, seizure, evidence documentation, testimony, legal disposition, sheltering and animal placement, all while building partnerships and learning strategies to combat cruelty in their communities.
- Law enforcement, animal control officers and prosecutors: Two-day training
- Sheltering professionals, veterinarians and others: Attend both days or just day two, featuring role-specific sessions
Continuing education (CE) credits available. View a sample agenda.
Limited funds for travel expenses may be available to assist some attendees who live more than 75 miles from the venue.
