Description
You would join an experienced veterinary team comprised of 3 veterinarians and a skilled medical team.
- This position will work 1-5 days per week, performing high-quality spay/neuter surgeries and wellness and dental services.
- You will be trained and supported by our experienced, award-winning team
- You must have a willingness to do what it takes to fulfill our mission of dedication to helping Lynchburg’s pets through sheltering, adoption, spay/neuter programs, education, and community outreach.
- You will be an integral part of our vision of helping to create a community where all lives are valued and respected.
- You must be able to operate within our core values.
- Must have an active license to practice veterinary medicine in Virginia or the ability to obtain a Virginia license.
- Ability to perform, on average, 40 spay/neuter surgeries per day. (If that is not a present skill, must have the ability and drive to work toward and succeed in that goal.)
- Ability to obtain a DEA license.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in the state.
- Strong knowledge of animal physiology and handling techniques.
- Experience in laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A genuine passion for animal care and welfare.

Pay: $120,762.00 - $130,417.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
