Description
Veterinary Surgeon – Full-Time or Part-Time
Location: Corpus Christi, TX
Organization: PAAC (People Assisting Animal Control)
PAAC, the largest high-volume spay/neuter clinic in South Texas, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our mission-driven team. Our nonprofit is focused on increasing access to affordable veterinary care and reducing pet overpopulation through high-quality spay/neuter and wellness services.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform spay/neuter surgeries with an emphasis on efficiency, safety, and compassion
- Participate in pre- and post-operative care with the support of an experienced surgical team
- Assist with occasional minor wellness cases (skin, ears, minor illness) as needed
- Work alongside trained veterinary technicians who handle anesthesia induction, intubation, and patient monitoring
- Help shape a positive, supportive, and collaborative clinic culture

Requirements:
- DVM with a valid Texas veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Comfortable performing routine spay/neuter procedures (training/mentorship available)
- Passion for community medicine and improving access to care
Preferred but not required:
- Experience in high-volume surgery
