Are you a dedicated veterinary professional looking to make a real impact in animal welfare? Friends of the Animals is seeking a full- or part-time Veterinary Surgeon to provide high-quality spay and neuter services for cats and dogs in our community. In addition to surgery, you’ll play a vital role in the general care of animals within our foster care program.

How You Make a Difference
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will:
- Perform safe and efficient sterilization surgeries following our established protocols based off of ASPCA best practice guidelines.
- Conduct pre-operative assessments to ensure each animal is ready for surgery.
- Manage controlled substances in compliance with safety and legal standards.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday-Friday and weekends available, with flexible hours based on staff availability.
- Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 2:00 – 3:00PM
Requirements:
- Oregon DVM license
- Ability to perform surgeries efficiently and safely
- High-volume spay/neuter experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay: $65.00 – $110.00/hour (based on experience)
- Full-time benefits: PTO, monthly medical reimbursement, CE and license reimbursement
