Description
Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
- Prepare animals for surgery, including induction, intubation, monitoring anesthesia and recovery.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
- Provide education to pet owners on post operative care.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment during procedures.
- Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments.
- Participate in continuing education to stay updated on veterinary practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of animal physiology and veterinary critical care is essential..
- Strong skills handling are beneficial for patient management.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- A commitment to providing compassionate care for all animals.
