Vaccine Clinic Coordinator/Veterinary Assistant - Southern Campuses

The Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) is hiring a full-time Vaccine Clinic Coordinator & Veterinary Assistant to provide support for our vaccine clinic and veterinary services teams. This position reports to the Veterinary Support Manager and travels between our Ozaukee, Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha campuses. Key accountabilities:
- Coordinate and assist with vaccine clinics across southern campuses (Ozaukee, Milwaukee, West Allis, Racine, Kenosha)
- Utilize software to support clients with scheduling, paperwork, and fees
- Communicate with clients via phone, text, and email
- Provide training and support for vaccine clinic volunteers and staff as needed
- Assist veterinarians and CVTs with foster appointments, surgical prep, and treatments
- Vaccinate animals in accordance with organizational protocols
- Manage rabbit post adoption revaccination protocols
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

- Ability to navigate emotional aspects of animal welfare work
- Able to successfully meet the physical demands of the job, which include stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions. Must be able to routinely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Possess strong animal handling and restraint skills that follow Fear Free guidelines
- Euthanasia by injection certification, or willingness to obtain
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Hiring range: $15.12 - $16.80
