Recovery Veterinarian (Part-Time, Contract)
đ Bend, Oregon
We are seeking a veterinarian to oversee post-operative recovery during high-volume spay/neuter clinics serving underserved communities.
This role is critical to patient safety and team function and is ideal for newer graduates seeking hands-on experience or veterinarians looking for flexible, mission-driven work.
What Youâll Do:
⢠Oversee recovery of canine and feline patients following surgery
⢠Monitor anesthesia recovery and ensure patient safety
⢠Lead and support a volunteer recovery team (varied experience levels)
⢠Communicate clearly with team members to maintain efficient patient flow and safe handoffs
⢠Help ensure smooth transitions from surgery through discharge
Schedule:
⢠One weekend per month (FridayâSunday)
⢠Flexible participation; consistent availability is a plus
Compensation:
⢠1099 contract position
⢠No benefits
