Executive Director
Description
The Executive Director will report to the Board of Directors. This position will be expected to uphold the mission of Mitchell County Animal Rescue and promote its goals, advising the Board of Directors in making decisions for the best interest of the organization. Required skills include but are not limited to the following: working knowledge of fundraising, grant writing, development activities, strong motivational skills, management skills and interpersonal skills with the staff and the public required with a major focus on fundraising and financial sustainability.
The Executive Director must show confidence, desire to help animals, and strategic thinking abilities. Duties and responsibilities revolve primarily around fundraising and community leadership, and top-end decision-making. The Executive Director works closely with the Shelter Manager to understand the needs and goals of the organization in order to effectively seek funding to sustain the organization’s operations.
