J’mai Gayle, DVM, DACVS

Dr. Gayle is the Director of Surgery at the ASPCA Animal Hospital in New York, NY. She graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. Following an equine internship at The Illinois Equine Hospital and an equine surgical residency at North Carolina State University, she continued to work as an equine surgeon in private practice for six years before transitioning into small animal practice. Dr. Gayle worked for four years as a staff surgeon at a multi-specialty hospital on Long Island (Center for Specialized Veterinary Care). She has been the director of Surgery at the ASPCA Animal Hospital for the past 12 years.
