Step 5: Recruit Your Ambassadors!
Average Time Needed
About a month
Description
Think about your best volunteer—someone you completely trust. That person might be all you need to get your program off the ground. Remember, starting small is smart and sets you up for success!
The initial request for volunteers may produce a lot of interest—but don't worry if everyone doesn't follow through. That’s OK and completely normal!
Details to Consider
Your coordinator can handle this task, which provides a great opportunity to get creative and consider populations you might have previously overlooked (or even avoided!) Don’t count out a population because they might seem too young or too busy—let them make that decision.
For example, consider engaging:
- College students
- Business owners
- Social or civic organizations
