The Role
As a Registered Veterinary Technician on our Clinic Services team, you will be responsible for the daily duties of preparation, induction, intubation and recovery of up to 50 dogs and cats admitted for surgery each day. This role also alternates rotations of leading technician-driven booster and bloodwork appointments for the community. You will be a leading staff member, motivating and energizing the veterinary medical team to ensure the health and safety of our patients and meet department goals. By working at HSC, you will be able to make an extraordinary impact on animals and the people in our community.
This position will pay $26 per hour and is a full-time position. HSC is unique in that unlike most veterinary offices, this role has a Monday - Friday schedule with days ending around 4:00pm. Our clinic is also closed on most major holidays. As our clinic provides wellness and HQHV spay/neuter surgeries only, you also won't be responding to surprise emergency visits.
Who Are We Looking For?
- Required: RVT/LVT licensure in NC or transferable licensure from another state with plans to license in NC within 60 days.
- Enthusiasm for the mission of the Humane Society of Charlotte and helping animals and people in our community.
- Must have a reliable mode of transportation.
- Must be comfortable interacting with all dogs and cats.
