Since 2010 the ASPCA Spay/Neuter Alliance has seen a year-over-year increase in the demand for training—in 2018 alone we trained more than 1,000 veterinary professionals and fourth-year veterinary students.
We decided to examine how to best align the training program with our mission to end the suffering of animals, and specifically to focus on surgical training that directly impacts shelter overpopulation.
To that end we’re now using our training capacity for veterinarians and practices actively engaged in high-quality, high-volume spay neuter and directly serving the animal welfare field.
A new application process for our revised program will be available in the coming weeks, and we welcome you to apply at that time.
We also encourage you to take advantage of free CE we offer online, such as the RACE-approved Online Spay/Neuter Courses. Additionally, we will continue to provide a rich library of spay/neuter resources.
