The Right Horse Virtual Summit | 12.2.21
The 2021 Right Horse Summit has transformed into a series of half-day virtual events, and we’re going online once again on December 2nd from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. ET. This December, we’ll bring the same opportunities for networking and innovation that you’ve come to expect from the Summit series with sessions focused on community and adopter engagement. The virtual Summit event is open to all equine welfare organizations and advocates at no cost.
All times in ET
- 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Volunteer Management to Maximize Impact: Hear from nonprofit leaders about the volunteer programs they've built that not only care for horses day-to-day but take an active role in helping them find loving homes and fulfilling their organizations' missions.
- 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
Say Yes to the Rest: We'll be asking you to leave your past experiences and ideas of adopter suitability at the door as we take a vulnerable step towards welcoming and engaging the general public in equine adoption. Learn effective techniques to say "yes!" to every inquiry that comes your way (whether or not they trot away with a horse) and grow your base of supporters.
- 12:15-12:45 p.m. Break
- 12:45-1:00 p.m.
Deck the Stalls contest reveal! Decorate your stalls and post photos of your winter wonderland in the Horse Adoption Resources for Shelters and Rescues Facebook group by November 28 for ultimate bragging rights and a fun, festive prize.
- 1:00 pm - 2:00 p.m.
Equine Welfare Is a Team Sport: There's no crying in baseball, and there's no winning alone in the world of equine welfare. Join a discussion led by ASPCA's Right Horse Partners around their concept and work on a universal application that could make it easier for adopters to find their perfect equine match. Come prepared to listen and contribute to the formation of a partner-led universal adoption application.
