Looking for a great experience helping pets and having a work-life balance? Want to work where you can focus on helping pets in need?
We are looking for dedicated veterinarians to join our growing organization’s veterinary team. With a current team of 9 veterinarians and 3 locations (soon to be 4), there is a great opportunity to work in just one or multiple locations. There are also opportunities to work in the community as well. As a non-profit organization focused on helping pets in need there are a lot of opportunities to focus on the parts of veterinary work that you love the most. Do you love general practice? Surgery? Community outreach? Or all of the above? We are currently seeking a veterinarian with high volume spay/neuter experience willing to work in at least two of our locations.
Want to do more than spay/neuter? That is an option too! In working here you are working with a wide range of experience in medicine and surgery, and a large support staff. We work as independently as we like and as collaboratively as we need to provide high-quality care for the pets we see. As a progressive, non-profit organization, we strive to provide the highest quality of medical care to our patients while also providing subsidized prices for those who qualify so that we can offer help to every needy pet.
We have scheduled 30-minute appointments and 15-minute follow-ups on weekdays during daytime hours and half-day on Saturdays (Saturdays at some locations). Our clinic is equipped with a full dental and surgical suite including digital dental x-ray and a Cardell veterinary monitoring system as well as digital x-ray, ultrasound, and in-house blood analyzers. We see daytime emergencies as we are able but no evening or after-hours emergencies to allow our staff more time for their life outside of work.
We offer a wide range of veterinary services at our 3 Massachusetts community hospitals and our veterinarians are supported in developing their abilities and interests. We especially encourage areas that will add to our ability to help patients or will support the services that we currently offer. We are eager to offer extra training for veterinary diagnostics and treatments such as ultrasound, cardiology, and dentistry for those with an interest in these fields.
At our hospitals, choose between practicing general medicine and general surgery or medicine alone depending on your interests. Vaccine clinics and offsite community outreach veterinary work are also occasionally available. We need a resourceful team player with good communication skills who desire to work for non-corporate community practice and can meet the challenges of a workday with a positive attitude and compassion.
We offer a very competitive salary based on each veterinarian’s experience level and abilities as well as a benefits and rewards package including health and dental insurance, 403b plan (the non-profit equivalent of 401k), bonuses, professional licenses reimbursement, VIN membership, CE allowances and discounted pet services. Our veterinarians may also qualify for the PSLF program.
