FixNation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that spays and neuters cats in Los Angeles, California. Our co-founders' love of cats inspired them to take action to improve the lives of the city's huge population of "community cats". FixNation's TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) mission aims to humanely reduce the number of stray, abandoned and feral cats by sterilizing as many as possible. All services for these vulnerable felines are provided completely free of charge.
In 2007, FixNation became the first full-time spay-neuter facility in Los Angeles specifically for homeless/community cats. In addition to our free spay/neuter services for homeless cats, we also loan out humane traps to the public, do TNR outreach and education and offer discounted services for adoptable cats from local rescue organizations.
Our small, close-knit team is comprised of genuine cat lovers who consistently go above and beyond to provide every cat in their care with the very best medical treatment possible.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FIXNATION VET
FixNation veterinary surgeons typically perform 40 to 55 spay and neuter surgeries each day. As a high-volume clinic, our vets must thrive under pressure and excel at performing procedures swiftly, accurately and efficiently, expertly supported by our well-trained vet technicians and assistants. Circumstances may change in an instant, so having good communication skills and being adaptable, quick thinking and decisive are all essential assets. This leadership role also requires close supervision of other team members, such as evaluating and preparing cats for surgery and administering anesthesia. If you are a natural-born leader who loves cats, has exceptional surgical skills and thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, you might be a perfect addition to our team.
