JOB SUMMARY
The primary work of this position involves performing spay/neuter surgeries (majority feline) at our clinic for shelter animals and occasional exams and consults, with the hope of expanding to the public in the future to provide low or no cost spay/neuter and other medical services for our community. We focus on spaying and neutering pets from our shelter, as well as other rescues, local municipal shelter, and doing TNR for community cats.
This position at the Rogue Valley Humane Society puts you in a wonderful community that is great for any family to build their lives in. In Josephine County, you are less than 2 hours from the rocky beaches of the Pacific Northwest, skiing and snowboarding on Mt. Ashland, the tall giants of the Redwoods, and a myriad of hiking and river opportunities outdoors. The Rogue Valley is also home to numerous wineries and breweries that are perfect for entertaining visiting guests.
