Immediate Position / Unique Opportunity
Established and growing 501©3 non-profit is seeking a full-time, experienced Veterinarian immediately. Become part of a unique 60,000 square foot animal care facility, that houses full service veterinary center, separate high-quality low cost spay/neuter clinic, animal shelter and veterinary technician teaching facility. General Description of Duties
Job duties will include, medical evaluations & spay/neuter of a mix of public, pound and third-party organization pets as well as providing any follow-up care for complications that arise from surgeries. Veterinarian is responsible for clear communication with our Executive Director, Medical Director, other veterinarians and staff.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform spay/neuter surgeries on public and outside organization animals that are brought to the facility.
- Provide follow-up care if necessary for any pets that develop post-surgical complications.
- Limited direct dealing with clients as the need arises.
Requirements
- Ohio DVM license in good standing.
- Ability to perform 25 spay/neuters per day, minimal 125 per week on a mix of canines and felines.
- Ability to perform prepubescent spay/neuter down to 2 lbs.
- Ability to diagnose issues and illnesses with animals prior to surgery.
- 40-hour work week expected, but exact scheduling and number of days per week are flexible.
