Kitticcino Charities is a non-profit, low-cost veterinary clinic and animal rescue located in Columbus, OH, in the heart of Grandview. We believe in providing high-quality care to all patients, regardless of financial barriers. Kitticcino was founded in response to an overwhelming community need for accessible preventative medicine for animals and education for families who have the best interests of their companions at heart but who may not have the means to act upon their intentions. It is our mission to provide affordable sterilization, vaccines, and behavioral and nutritional counseling to all members of our community, regardless of their financial status. Additionally, Kitticcino operates a foster-based adoption program for cats and dogs and is developing a cat café with behaviorally appropriate housing for adoptable felines, with the goal of finding permanent, loving homes for as many pets in need as possible.
Kitticcino Charities currently has partnerships with several rescue organizations around Columbus, including Hospets, Inc., Cause for Canines, Every Pet Needs a Home, Colony Cats, and more. Additionally, we have partnered with several other organizations around the city to provide even more opportunities for care for families who may not have regular access to transportation; these organizations include Captivating Canines (Westerville, OH) and The Dog Stop (Franklinton.) We are currently working out a partnership with the Trumbull County Dog Warden's Office to provide sterilization services to their shelter animals, as well as their community!
We are currently seeking a confident spay/neuter surgeon to join our fun, laid-back team for either full- or part-time hours. Our clinic structure is very flexible, and we will entertain a schedule of your choosing. We have many rescue clients who come to us for sterilization services, so candidates must be comfortable providing surgical services to patients as young as 8-weeks of age. We do not schedule for late evenings or emergencies, and you will have a very skilled support team to help the shifts run smoothly and efficiently.
We schedule our operations around our DVM availability, so you have the freedom and flexibility to work when it is convenient for you and as much or as little as you want! We believe in a healthy work-life balance; we are all facing difficult times right now, and Kitticcino is dedicated to not adding to your personal stresses.
