The veterinarian position is expected to manage, organize, direct, and review all aspects of daily veterinary services for the hospital. The position will be one to two days a week; Sundays are required. Flexibility/ability to cover additional days as needed is a bonus. The doctor must be comfortable and capable of performing examinations, providing diagnoses/treatments, and performing a minimum of 20 spay/neuter surgeries per day. Comfort with enucleations, leg/tail amputations, and basic mass removals/laceration repairs is ideal. The doctor must be a team player in helping to develop and implement protocols. The doctor must be a leader that can direct staff, assess patients with critical illness or injury, manage contagious diseases and infections, practice proper medical record keeping, and effectively answer questions/comments/concerns for staff and caregivers when needed. The doctor will be working by themselves; however, another veterinarian is on staff to consult with or provide support as needed. Critical patients and complicated surgeries are referred to local specialty hospitals.

We have 2 exam rooms, a treatment room, a post-op recovery room, a surgery suite, and a radiology suite. Our hospital is open four days a week: Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Friday.
