DescriptionThe Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Adoption & Customer Experience Manager to lead the adoption department including adoption programs, staff, and volunteers at our other ARL lcoations, Adoption Partner locations, and off-site adoption events.This leadership position plays an important role in ensuring nearly 8,000 animals each year are matched with great homes by recruiting, training, and coaching approximately 15 full and part time adoption staff and 30+ adoption volunteers. The Adoption & Customer Experience Manager reports to the Director of Development & Communications.Ideal candidates should have a minimum of 3-5+ years of leadership experience in an animal shelter, a high-volume veterinary office, or similar animal organization. Consideration will also be given to candidates with experience in communications, retail management, or other fast-paced customer experience-focused leadership roles.Ideal candidates should have a communications or other business-related degree or equivalent experience.Typical schedule is Tuesday-Saturday or dependent on organizational needs.
