The ASPCA will be providing travel expense grants of $2,000 each to veterinarians from northern tier states — Alaska, Washington, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin — to travel to the ASPCA Spay Neuter Alliance* Clinic in Asheville, NC.
Applicants will be required to provide a Statement of Financial Need demonstrating that traveling to the ASPCA Spay Neuter Alliance campus for on-site training for four days (Monday through Thursday) would pose a financial burden to them. Additionally, applicants will be asked to explain how the training will enable them to make spay/neuter services accessible for owned and homeless dogs and cats in their communities.

Note that any expenses over the budgeted $2,000 grant amount will need to be covered by the grant recipient.

Note there is usually a lunch program Monday-Thursday for $4 onsite at the ASPCA Spay/Neuter Alliance campus. On these days when lunch is available, the $4 lunch fee will be waived for travel grant recipients.
Under the "Preferred Dates" section of the Veterinary Training application, please indicate your top three date choices for the program, as well as your intent to apply for the Travel Expense grant.

You will be notified of the decision on your grant application within 2-3 weeks, at which time you will need to confirm your participation in the Veterinary Training program with your Spay/Neuter Alliance representative.
