The ASPCA equine campaign was launched as Help a Horse Day in 2013 as a way to provide a national day of recognition for equine organizations, to spread the word about the lifesaving work they do on behalf of at-risk horses and show their communities how to join in the effort. Our new name is Help a Horse Home: The ASPCA Equine Adoption Challenge.
In 2018, equine organizations adopted out more than 1,000 horses during the two-month contest period, proving they have what it takes to find more homes for horses. That’s why we renamed and reimagined the contest for 2019—because we know that together we can save even more lives.
