Organizational Planning (a PetSmart Charities webinar)
Presented by Jennifer Dragotta, M.S. Ed, Community Initiatives Director, ASPCA
Long-term organizational planning is necessary for the growth and success of spay/neuter operations. Using the Kellogg Logic Model for this process allows organizations to set long-term impact and determine practical outcomes, measurements, and activities that will achieve the desired impact. It's a model for success. In this 90-minute webinar, attendees will be guided through the Logic Model process using examples from animal welfare. Attendees will be asked to work some of these steps throughout the webinar that they can transfer to their organization. This webinar is especially for spay/neuter groups but is applicable to all.

PetSmart Charities®' High Impact Spay/Neuter Grants
In the Fall of 2009, PetSmart Charities changed the guidelines for spay/neuter grants and introduced High Impact Grants under two funding areas: Targeted Spay/Neuter and Free-Roaming Cat Spay/Neuter grants. This webinar explains the High Impact Grant guidelines and offers examples of high impact projects funded in the past.

Creative Funding for Spay/Neuter Programs
Aimee St. Arnaud, a founder of Humane Ohio, shares ideas of how other communities have funded spay/neuter programs through unconventional sources such as grants from local chambers of commerce and Rotary clubs, City governments sponsoring a day of surgeries. Working with the Underserved in Your Community
Lori Weise of Downtown Dog Rescue walks through the lessons her agency has learned about working with the homeless populations and the animals, specifically dogs, belonging to this population. She also discusses how connecting to the community is key to the success of any type of outreach into the community.
