It was all about the boys this past February 8, when Central Oklahoma Humane Society hosted the Tom Cat Fix. The guys got VIP treatment at this party, with male cats getting reduced admission—err, neuter surgery—at 10 bucks a pop.

“The exciting part,” says Central Oklahoma Humane’s Samantha Burnett, Director of Operations, “was that not only were we able to help feral cat colony managers with males, we were able to help people with their ‘porch cats’ and the cats they’ve been feeding for a year but don’t really consider ‘theirs’ enough to take in to the vet.”

At the end of the day, a studly 97 male cats were neutered. “The entire staff loved it,” reports Burnett, “and are now cooking up an all-female day.”
