Shelter’s Edge

Wordless Wednesday

Number one on your to-do list: Write a caption for this photo.

P.S. Don’t let that work pile up–leave your response in the comment box! And speaking of clever uses of boxes… check the answer to last week’s Wordless Wednesday.

Update, October 10: Not only is Ozzy here not quite on top of his in-box, he’s a little, uh, behind in his other work, too…

  1. I’d rather be in the outgoing box

  2. “In or Out? Out or in? Yup…rather be in that other box…the one that says Out.”

Isn’t that the problem at all shelters? Too much cat in the In box?
Sorry, that should read too many cat in the In box…

  3. Great responses, guys! Not only is Ozzy here not quite on top of his in-box, he’s a little, uh, behind in his other work, too… The handsome slacker’s one of the resident kitties of the administrative offices at the Cleveland APL, and we LOVE hearing about his antics on the Ohio agency’s Facebook page. As reported in a recent status update, along with a rather incriminating photo: “You all know Ozzy and Kobe, our office cats, have a blog on our website called Cats’ Eye View. Well, it seems Ozzy has gotten a little full of his own celebrity. We found this when we arrived in the office this morning. So, anyone care to share thoughts on appropriate consequences for unauthorized xeroxing of one’s feline butt???”

Wish you’d thought of that, right?! Love the way Cleveland APL used this post to increase fan engagement and let folks know about their blog. And who wouldn’t want to visit a shelter where fun things happen, like random acts of cat butt photocopying?! Major kudos to Cleveland APL for creating such a positive image of shelter kitties—and for their very well-written Cats’ Eye View. It’s not easy to write in an animal’s voice—see how they do it and read about the night Ozzy went wild here: http://www.clevelandapl.org/Blog-20120831.html

Thanks so much for featuring Ozzy’s butt, Pune … and for your kind words! We’re gearing up for our Fur Ball silent auction packaging parties and Ozzy always features prominently in the festivities, so I’m sure there will be some more antics on the horizon. I just need to make sure he doesn’t end up wrapped up and auctioned off!!!
